School will be canceled on Friday, November 21 across Lubbock-Cooper ISD to allow the LCP family to travel in support of LCHS and Liberty HS football teams in the Area round of playoffs. All LCISD campuses, offices, and facilities will be closed. As a reminder, the district will also be closed November 24-28 for Thanksgiving Break.
Central Elementary, East Elementary, and West Elementary Thanksgiving lunches originally scheduled for Friday will be moved to Thursday, November 20. These campuses will communicate more information to families. Individual campuses will communicate with parents regarding any other activities originally scheduled for Friday.
The Pirates will play at 3:00pm on Friday at Wildcat Stadium on the Abilene Christian University campus in Abilene. The Patriots will play at 6:00pm on Friday at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene. Ticket information will be shared soon.

West Elementary has been impacted by a power outage affecting South Plains Electric Cooperative (SPEC) customers in that area. The district is in contact with SPEC representatives, who are working now to restore power. Power is estimated to be restored in approximately 10-15 minutes.
